Kate Bowman has worked in, on and around events for over fifteen years. She has had her hands on almost every aspect of event planning and management, from loading trucks to stage management, set design and building, budget planning and management, and production and operations management. Kate is a skilled and experienced negotiator, with a passion for people and a love for taking a client’s vision and making it a reality.
Kate firmly believes that the foundation of every good event is great communication and careful planning. Having such an extensive amount of event experience means that she can quickly identify what problems may arise and troubleshoot well before the day.
Kate has a degree in International Relations and has studied Interior Design. Her past experience includes work with the Indonesian Embassy, GrindFX, Tom Tom Events, Canberra Theatre, and Barlens Event Hire. In the past, Kate has been involved with the planning and execution of a variety of events, including Tropfest, Festival of the Forests, HIA Awards Night, Canberra Clubs Awards, and the Beijing Olympic Torch Relay. Kate was the Production & Operations Manager of the National Folk Festival for four years, and most recently the Event Manager and Producer of the Unbridled Festival of Horses, Music and Food.
Elisabeth Howe is a producer, director, writer, artist and designer. She is a passionate, prolific creative type with highly developed organisational and administrative abilities.
Lizzy has a deep rooted belief in the power of visual communication, and spent over fifteen years developing her skills as a graphic artist and visual designer, including gaining a degree in Design for Theatre and Television. She has developed creative work for theatre, film and television, corporate clients, small businesses and a variety festivals and events. In the past three years, Lizzy has acted as the Set Designer for the National Folk Festival and the creative producer for the Unbridled Festival of Horses, Music and Food, creating all marketing material for the event, including advertisements, flyers, posters, the festival website, and two television commercials.
Lizzy is also a highly skilled and experienced project manager and producer. She has spent years developing her management and administrative skills, both in and out of the creative and events fields. Her skills include (but are not limited to) planning, marketing, writing, research and analysis. She is extremely technologically proficient, and is a natural trouble shooter. Lizzy has managed budgets both huge and miniscule, and is a master at getting a client the most bang for their buck. Above all, Lizzy’s greatest passion, and skill, is the ability to turn ideas into reality.
